Take the "A" to DIA!

Thanks to our customers and their advocacy, we've grown steadily,
with more than 37,000 passenger boardings in 2008!

Ride Provide's A-Line was a community-inspired effort.  The shuttle was started in 2003 in cooperation with, and with funding provided by, the Regional Transportation District (RTD), the City of Arvada, the Arvada Urban Renewal Authority (AURA), and the Arvada Economic Development Association (AEDA).  These entities and many individuals and officials came together in response to the probable discontinuation of RTD Skyride service to Arvada and Wheat Ridge.  Special note should be made of the role that then-Senator Sue Windels, along with RTD District L Director Wally Pulliam, had in cultivating support for funding of an alternative service.

Since then the shuttle has continued to be operated by Ride Provide, an Arvada-based non-profit organization, but with major cost-share funding by RTD.  For many years the City of Arvada continued as an active partner as well, providing substantial non-cash support for marketing, fueling, and operations.

Then, in 2009 -- again with RTD funding -- Ride Provide launched a second route serving residents of Coal Creek Canyon.  The Coal Creek Express replaced the RTD Route CC which was discontinued that spring.  The route reinforced Ride Provide's mission as a transit innovator, and it signaled a new era for the small organization, with operations and a customer base extending well beyond the original location.  As of August 1, 2009 the organization became independent of Arvada government support.
